Color Design

Let's color the world one garment at a time!

Color designAs a Color/Design house we believe that color lets specific personalities come forward and be expressed. So, we make clothing that are as colorful as our wonderful clients and the amazing natural elements that inspire us. Color is the key part of our garment design process. Each color holding a significant meaning of how we want the wearer to feel or express themselves. We dye everything by hand in our studio and are constantly looking for inspiration in our surroundings. Our signature color/dye style is "Sky-Dye." A take on tie-dye, we dye our garments in patterns inspired by the sky/cloud formations. It's our mission to color the world and fill it with wonderful works of wearable art.

Our color theory is consistent with eight colors: two base and six fashion. This system is cyclical in following the system of colors, but never duplicating, just refining and advancing the color family. Our matrix color theory is constantly evolving but remains complimentary to the past core groups in our collections. We categorize our colors by hue, brightness and saturation. Hue is a color or shade, character, aspect, type/kind of, shade of color. Graduation of color. Brightness is an attribute of visual perception in which a source appears to be radiating or reflecting light. In other words, brightness is the perception elicited by the luminance towards us/people. Saturation is the the intensity of the hue. The chart we use is based on the 6 base colors. We drew from RGB and CMYk colors as our base and them created 3 shades by increasing brightness and saturation. This provides us a jumping off pint when we create our color patterns for Sky-Dye.
